Opportunity to nurture
TEAM INDIA – U20 in ICE HOCKEY
2018 IIHF CHALLENGE CUP OF ASIA
IIHF CHALLENGE CUP OF ASIA at Malayasia
12-17 Dec 2017
India in Ice Hockey has made commendable progress.
A sport in its early stages in India but in the Himalayan regions this is the main winter sport played by almost every child, men and women alike.
Ice Hockey is the fastest sport in the world. The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and Ice Hockey Association of India (IHAI) have been helping promote this sport and create opportunities for the youth reach to the International level of competence. India has been participating in the Challenge Cup of Asia since 2009.
In the season 2016/17, Indian Men won the 2nd Position in the IIHF Challenge Cup Of Asia Div 1 at Kuwait and the Women’s team secured 4th Position out of 7 participants in the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia at Thailand.
Proficiency of Indian players is on an upswing, creating a stable of bankable players waiting to prove their mettle globally.
Today, Ice Hockey is on the verge of breaking into mainstream. Its performances in abroad are beginning to create a resonance in Domestic Media too. We are certain, in the days to come, Ice Hockey will enjoy a niche in all snow-clad regions of India as also amongst affluent, global Indians who follow it internationally. It is also an exciting opportunity to tap into the youth of the Hill states of India.
We believe, this is the right time for corporates to start nurturing the sport as it goes mainstream. It is an opportune time for brands to build long standing positioning with a sport, which ushers a freshness of change.
This season beginning December 2017, we have the Indian U20 Boys debuting in IIHF Ice Hockey Challenge Cup of Asia at Malaysia.
This letter is to request you to explore associations, sponsorships and opportunities to fund the Training, Team Jersey, Team Track Suits, Coach fees, Airfare and Visa costs for the team. We have a
team of 24 including officials travelling for the championship. Total expense on the above heads is over and above Rs.20 Lakhs. Truly, an insignificant expenses to invest in a long-term opportunity.
As per Government of India notification, Corporate can also provide financial support for Sports training as part of their CSR initiative.
Your support will not only help and enable youth from modest backgrounds to get an opportunity to represent India at the International level but also help promote the sport.
